Keep Victoria Park
open to everyone

AEG has applied to fence off about a third of the park’s main fields for up to 75 days a year, every year until 2031. You can object — it takes about five minutes.

Please object by Wednesday 8 July 2026 Late comments are usually accepted until the council decides — so it is still worth objecting after this date.

How to object in five minutes

  1. Comment online, or email quoting PA/26/00459/A1.
  2. Say clearly that you OBJECT, and give your name and postal address.
  3. Say why, in your own words — pick a couple of the reasons opposite and add your own experience of the park.

Why we object

  • Protected open land. The park is Metropolitan Open Land and a Grade II* registered landscape.
  • Heritage harm. Historic England says the harm must be given “very considerable weight”.
  • Weeks of build noise and lorries — hundreds of HGV movements each summer, not just concert days.
  • Lost in the school holidays, the weeks children and local families most need the park.
  • Not against festivals — events can already run lawfully for 28 days a year.

We love the park and its festivals. We object to enclosing its main fields for up to 75 days a year, for six years.
